Description

Digital Panel Meter – Digital Electrical Measurement Instrument

The Digital Panel Meter is an electrical measuring instrument designed to provide clear digital readings of measured electrical values. Manufactured by Elmo Agencies, a trusted scientific manufacturer in Ambala, it is suitable for laboratory applications, electrical testing, educational setups, and control-panel installations where easy-to-read measurements are required.

A Digital Panel Meter displays measurement values in numerical form on a digital display, allowing users to monitor electrical parameters more conveniently than with a traditional analog pointer meter. Depending on its configuration, a panel meter can be used for measuring electrical quantities such as voltage or current.

Please follow the instructions below for the operation of the Digital Panel Meter:

a. If necessary, add proper voltage dividers (RA & RB are not included) and a decimal point wire jumper according to the following table:

– For DC 200mV Range, use RA = 0Ω, RB = 10MΩ and connect to P3.

– For DC 2V Range, use RA = 10MΩ, RB = 1MΩ and connect to P1.

– For DC 20V Range, use RA = 10MΩ, RB = 100kΩ and connect to P2.

– For DC 200V Range, use RA = 10MΩ, RB = 10kΩ and connect to P3.

– For DC 500V Range, use RA = 10MΩ, RB = 1kΩ and connect to P1.

– For DC 2mA Range, use RA = 0Ω, RB = 100Ω and connect to P1.

– For DC 20mA Range, use RA = 0Ω, RB = 10Ω and connect to P2.

– For DC 200mA Range, use RA = 0Ω, RB = 1Ω and connect to P3.

– For DC 2A Range, use RA = 0Ω, RB = 0.1Ω and connect to P1.

Note that RA & RB are 1/4W 0.5% Metal Film Resistors.

b. Connect an 8-12V DC power supply to the panel meter.

c. For ranges other than 200mV, input an accurate 1/2 hMax voltage generated by a calibrator (e.g., 100.0 V for 200.0V range) and carefully adjust the semi-fixed resistor 201 to have the same reading on the LCD.

d. Connect the input DC voltage to be measured to IN+ and COM.

e. Connect the power to VCC+9V and VSS.
